My work represents a unique fusion of old and new processes – one that adapts and adopts new technology to inform the age-old process of applying media to a surface.

Loss of identity, faded histories and lost souls are themes I have been working on for some time. This work reflects corrupted memories and a dislocation of people, places, and objects. Such changes can cause chaos and yet, on another level, can create an absurd beauty. Leaving a place or a person can lead to a rediscovery of self, and the chance to see beauty in a decaying world left devastated by enforced change.
Based on lost communities and threadbare pasts, these layers of history are represented using a combination of text (mostly handwritten), found imagery, mixed media, drawing and photography. Peeling and ashen surfaces reveal a rejuvenated but melancholy beauty...Bye. Gone.
